Indaba, the store and web site, is a place to get together to appreciate Africa and her many wonderful arts. Indaba was founded in Miami, in south Florida in 1994. The owner, Jill and Seymour Kantor, are long-time collectors of African art. Jill, a History of Art/Fine Art major, works with many artists and village craft cooperatives in southern Africa to produce and market some of the home accessories, fabrics and gifts items in the store.

The collection is varied and ever changing. Indaba's buyers make frequent trips all over Africa to seek out unique items - everything from authentic artifacts and cloth to contemporary, functional home accessories.

Indaba has an excellent reputation for customer service. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may return it for an exchange or refund.

We are conveniently located in Hallandale, FL. Just a few blocks east of I-95. Plenty of free parking!
